When the pen touches the paper, the adventure begins.

Dog Smiling Sunday Morningis a collection of stories and recipes celebrating a community. It is inspired by a quant, Northwest neighborhood I lived in for nearly a decade.
Many of us long for community in theory -- that special place were you are accepted with flaws and your contribution are appreciated. A place where people notice, with almost an ESP-type perception that you’re not feeling well and appear at your door offering assistance and hot soup. Communities, however, like the inhabitants who reside there, have their compulsions and secrets, affairs and bad attitudes. Grace is found within these messy corners because it is here that we often express the most intimate and true nature of our humanity.
